In this workflow, which is currently used at Dalarna University, VirtualKaty conforms a previously imported Pro Tools session to changes and edits done in Media Composer.
The following steps shows how to export changes from Media Composer to Pro Tools and conform edits with the help of VK5 Premium Collection.
Step 1: Exporting from Media Composer as AAF and Quicktime files
Step 2: Converting the AAF file To CMX 3600 EDL using the List Tool
Step 3: Importing AAF and Quicktime files in ProTools
Note: Repeat Steps 1 to 3 in Media Composer when timeline is edited
When the timeline has been edited in Media Composer, the new version edit is exported as an AAF. The AAF is then converted to EDL as shown in Step 2.
Step 4: Preparing the Pro Tools session for conform
Step 5: Running the conform in VirtualKaty
Step 6: Setting up the updated ProTools session
